What has been has been…  What will be will be…  and it’s all a part of chemistry.  From the acids and proteins digesting food in your stomach right now… to the hemoglobin carrying oxygen through your blood… chemistry is everywhere.

As you start to familiarize yourself with the periodic table, you will begin to realize that it is very well organized.  The table is organized in several ways, but at its most basic level the elements are ordered by the number of protons an atom of a particular element has. The number at the top of each Element Square is the Atomic Number.  The atomic number is the number of protons in a particular element.  That’s all you need to know to solve this puzzle.

N40 2A.BCD   W105 0E.FGH

A = 8, 10

B = Helium

C = Bromine – Selenium

D = 28, 10

E = Beryllium

F = 34, 23, E, 7

G = 7, 8, 10

H = 7, 8, 10

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

This Geocache was created and is maintained by Stanley Polley, a Science teacher at Loveland Classical Schools.

GanderGoose and I solved a pile of puzzles so we could binge-cache in Berthoud. I think I did this one--I have a checkered past with chemistry, but remembered enough to get this solution pretty quickly. I think GG found the final; ah, buddy teams are the way to go in caching! TFTC!
