Just another cache in a unique area. High clearance vehicle is recommended. There are lots of collared lizards in the summer and a friend reported seeing several rattlesnakes in the area. Bring your own pen.

Well we wanted to find this one but we went in on the 4 wheeler and got up as far as a small reservoir for the cattle but we couldn't go any farther because it is now posted No Trespassing by some cattle company?????

What a beautiful day! Sioux Moon and I took our trusty steeds out for a desert ride. Our mission for the day was to find Base of the Bookcliffs. We decided on a fairly direct route from where we parked the trailers, but by no means the easiest. There were a few times that we were not too sure that we could make it to the top of the 'next hill over' and 'I think it's steeper than I first thought' became our mantra. The cache brought us to a lovely spot with a magnificent view. After such a fun day, cactus-bob deserves a favorite from me.

The search gave purpose to a desert horseback ride on a beautiful fall day. I think we went the long way, but neither BooBoosPal nor I or our horses cared. The day was too beautiful to have a care. The arroyos and somewhat unstable earth gave the horses reasons to be engaged - a job which they appreciate and they get to eat lunch out, too. Thanks for placing the cache here.
