This cache is a 50 cal. ammo can located near the Gunnison Wildlife area off of US 50. The elevation is 7718 but it should be real easy to get to.

The cache has a lot of misc. stuff in it. A knicknack of dolphins, a road and rec CD, a old 110 camera, a chess set, a yoyo, a pocket knife, a travel bug, and more. I even saw 5 mule deer while placing this cache. They do not call it a wildlife area for nothing. I placed this cache on the way to going Elk hunting south of Gunnison. Yes, I got a 5x6. But climbing those hills almost did me in. Colorado is gorgeous, I wish I had more time to see the sites. Enjoy ERH-in-WI

P.S. This cache is located on state land not the Natl. Rec Area that shows on the map.

We are on vacation for ten days in Colorado all the way from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. It is so beautiful out here! TFTC!

So great to grab an old cache like this. Thanks for keeping it going. I was at the Beaver Creek picnic area to hike out to those caches. Then I wondered if I could get here from there. I went too far along the creek (past the barn) & couldn't find a decent low water crossing so I went back down & got across and made the hike up to this point. The last 300' were the toughest.
Turkey vultures were sunning themselves on the rock by the benches. Now that I see the official parking not far off I see that would be a much easier route.

On my three-week vacation tour from the east coast to the west coast, I have seen and experienced a lot. I could not visit all caches from the PQ because I did not have the time.
I thank all owners for hiding and care of the cans.

Needed to get some fresh air and found myself in this area. I was about to embark on a brief nature walk when I decided to see if any caches where nearby. This was a short distance from where I was and not too difficult to find if you're adventurous.

A short walk through a beautiful scenery and we reached this real old cache .
The container is ok and in a good condition.

With the various fences, I wasn't clear on public and private lands. On reaching GZ, the GPSr was indicating an area that turned out to be about twenty feet away from the cache. I'm a little surprised to have found it. It's a pleasant spot with the sound of the water. Thanks for placing this one and keeping it going.
