Miracle Rock trail about 1/3 mile uphill hike to cache on Glade Park. With this cache, we pay homage to a man who loved this place and shared that love with many others.As a Middle School teacher in District 51 for over 30 years, Larry Reeves touched the lives of many students and colleagues alike. He shared his love of the outdoors with the students he taught in ways that many will remember forever. One cherished project was an annual camping trip to Miracle Rock with middle-schoolers - campfires, orienteering, stream flow studies, hikes to rock ledges and hidden arches, trail building and leave-no-trace ethics . . . Miracle Rock has been under the watchful care of District 51 staff and students for decades because of a Larry’s passion and dedication to sharing this experience.
The first stage of this cache is camouflaged and hidden carefully in an area frequented by casual visitors.
The second/final stage is an ammo can… a bit away from the crowds.
Neither stage involves getting too close to cliff edges, but both offer amazing views of some of the areas that students have come to know well over the years.

09/01/2014 By $R This is a favorite place, so glad that there is a cache here to find, Brought my good friend (80!) who is visiting from GA for her first geocache. SL, left a toy camera and took a springy bear. TFTC!
