What is Snagthetag?

Snag The Tag is a game within Geocaching (since 2017) run by two geocachers and involves: trackables and geocoins. The game is simple, get there first; find the tag and claim it for a cool trackable geocoin prize. It combines the thrill of the hunt, a fun location and a cool trackable prize! Snag the Tag has run their own themed house games and partnered with GCHQ, mega events, web shops and geocaching organizations with GCHQ, to run their games. The event is open to anyone to attend. You do not need to partipate in the Bump in the Night event to come and socialize. Feel free to come and meet some of your local geocachers and ask questions or exchange stories, travel bugs, etc.

Event details:

There will be bat tags hidden around Northern Colorado. They will publish on the Snag The Tag website randomly starting October 24th up to the morning of the event. Find a tag, claim it on the Snag the Tag website and bring it to the event to redeem it for a trackable mirror geocoin! You will need a Snagthetag account to redeem the tag, and set up notifications on their site as well. Good Luck on your search!

Costumes are welcome, but optional!

Redemption rules:

One bat per household. Each tag is associated with a specific event and must be redeemed at that event (i.e. you may not redeem a tag picked up in New York at an event in Washington, or a tag from Parker in Windsor). You can attend multiple of these events, just make sure you redeem your tag at the correct event for the tag that you have found.

Everyone can attend, whether you are participating in the Bump In The Night game or not. Let me know if you have any questions. See you all there!

Door Prizes:

A door prize drawing will be held, one ticket entry for attending and additional tickets for finding the new bat series of mystery caches prior to the event.

(Lucky #13) 13 New Mystery Caches will be published prior to the event starting October 1st. Find any of these and get an extra ticket in the door prize drawing, one ticket for any of these caches found and logged prior to the event, one additional ticket for finding all 13 bat caches.

Geocoins:

**Additional geocoins from the game (different color than the hunt tags) will be available for $20 (first come first served - quantities limited).
