This cache is part of a series dedicated to the important documents that have established our country and allowed the United States of America to be a great nation.  The “Bill of Rights” is part of the United States Constitution. The Constitution is considered a “living” document, meaning that the rules can be altered or eliminated, and new ones can be added.  The constitution outlines how to make those changes. The Bill of Rights mostly describes the rights afforded to us as citizens.

The Eighth Amendment of the Bill of Rights guarantees that the government (prosecutors) can’t ask for bail that is too high.  So they can’t ask for bail of a million dollars for a shoplifting case, but maybe for a murder case.  It depends on the crime.  The Eighth Amendment basically says there should be a schedule set for fines; independent of social class, friendship with the judge or prosecutors.  The Eighth Amendment bans punishment deemed cruel or unusual. Opinions on this one vary, but no one in America is losing their hand for shoplifting.

Article VIII (Amendment 8 - Further Guarantees in Criminal Cases)

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

If this cache protects you from having your hand cut off for shoplifting, then go to N39 38.813 W104 44.132

If this cache is about correcting pet behavior, then go to N39 41.705 W104 59.262

Congratulations to Herndonrd for the FTF! 39/108

My 19 mile bike ride brought me to this cache at 10:56 am when I made the find. Thanks for the cache and for making my route more fun!

A three person utility crew was at GZ as I drove up. They looked at me kind of strangely and finally asked what I was doing. I explained caching to them and may have even gotten a convert. Thank you for the cache.

I can't remember when I solved this puzzle - it must have been months ago. I saw on my map I have several of these solved and I was driving by so it was time to get at least one more smiley from this LiD series.
Some one left a nice bag of dog doo right by the cache, yucko. I should've found the cache right away as I've seen one of these before, but I was spinning in circles for a while before I had the "lightbulb" moment.
It's a beautiful day to be geocaching. After all that snow, I'm so ready for spring. This is the nicest day yet that I've gone geocaching in 2019, and I'm loving it.
It was nice to see you and the Ms. at the puzzle event last night, take care.

Found with EasternGirls and my son. EG solved this puzzle. Someone uses this as their dog's dumping ground. Ugh. Clean up after your pet, peeps.

Thanks for the fun multi cache! Didn't realize that dogs weren't allowed here. Made a mad dash to pick up a couple of caches. Will have to come back another day to get the others in the area without geopuppy Riley.

Found eight of your fun geocaches with animjason and Bhob. I am twelve weeks old, and already love geocaching! I was able to double my multi finds today. Thanks for that. I "saw" many deer, and an owl (technically I didn't since I can't see past 12 feet yet).

Thanks for the adventure!

Another LiD find with BearAdair and Bhob. Today was a LostinDenver day, as we did eight of your caches, and only those. It was a fun day for sure. BearAdair is twelve weeks old, but we are sure she had fun, and enjoyed all the places we went.

Loved these "containers".

Went out and about on a most pleasant late fall day with "animjason" and "BearAdair" - this was the third of eight geocaches that we found on our travels. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Found while on my long Sunday run. I love this new cache container. Thank you for these solvable puzzle caches for us whom are mystery challenged. With this series I have a chance at BroncoCole's The Mile High Century Club Mystery Challenge. Thank you for creating these puzzles and helping to keep our recreation going.

Well this was kind of spooky. We see a new cache by LostInDenver - but he is thousands of miles away ! Is it Halloween magic or just crafty planning to make sure we don't forget him? Solved the puzzle without the CO's help (which we usually need) and made our way to the clever cache. Thanks for the cache that magically appeared without you. Hope you are having a great time.
