Saw the rest area sign, but the cache there didn't look impressive. However, I did see this cache with 45 favorite points and decided to come take a look. Sure glad I did, too, because this is what caching is about -- a non-micro that brings cachers to areas that otherwise would not be found. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the history here, and took a carabiner to remember this place. tft , and now there are 46 favorite points!

Found this with JSQuack while driving I70 on the way to Mingo and a quick stopoff at Arriba.
We enjoyed reading the plaque here and this gets a Fav from me for getting me off the highway for something interesting. TFTC

Caching from DFW to Denver by way of Oklahoma and Kansas. I don't think I've ever seen a cache this much out in the open, LOL. It was really cool to stop and read the sign to learn the local history of the place. Really interesting. Thanks for the fun and educational cache!
