I verified my coordinates and found the spot exactly matching the hint, searched for nearly half an hour but came up empty handed. Fun puzzle though, and incredible hike--I went over to Royal Arch after giving up here. Also the "woods quarry" was just a bizarre little feature there. Thanks for bringing me on this wonderful hike!

Work has been very crazy lately, but I finally have some time to catch up on my logging. Found this cache with animjason. If any emails/photos are required, they were sent by him and posted in his log. Thanks for the cache!

This was a tough one, especially in the snow, but we signed it. Thanks for keeping this one alive.

Last cache of the day with Sissadies. We were after the new Earthcache at the arch and saw this one was nearby. Worked a solution then chatted with a previous finder and got closer coords. Lots of interesting structures near GZ. Curious about the big circle.

Hard to find buried in snow but after hiking this far in the cold we weren't going to give up. Good hint helped with victory! Thanks for keeping this one active. Fun puzzle and nice hide location.

Solved this puzzle months ago on a wet and cold day. I can't remember if I had any difficulty with the geometry problem or not, but I somehow made the evince checker happy. Seeing jasperdakota's log mentioning a visit to this cache on the way down from Royal Arch, I following a small social trail down from near the arch. The trail kept going in every which way and I lost it a couple times. Eventually, a couple different social trails converged and I was confide rent I was on the right path. I made it to an elevation equal to the cache's (according to the topo on my GPS) and I decided to traverse over to avoid losing elevation and having to walk back up. Terrible idea! I was only 300 feet away, but I felt like I was bushwhacking for ages. And I seemed to get pricked by anything I passed capable of pricking me, including a surprise cactus that got me good. Some day I'll learn to just stay on the trail...

Eventually made it to GZ and found jasperdakota's throwdown quickly. I entered the temple nearby and signed the log on the alter. Before I returned the altoids tin, I decided to look around for the original on a whim. Sure enough, the original lock and lock was still there! Well hidden, but unmistakable. I took the replacement with me so there's no confusion. I sat on one of the benches for a few minutes, admiring the view, then headed back down the hill. Very cool spot, Zehn Grey gets a favorite from me for sure.

Two for the price of one!

Went on a beautiful hike to Royal Arch this morning and came through this trail on the way down. Looked for a good 45 minutes around the bush and couldn't find the original cache. Left a camoed Altoids tin under some rocks at the base of the bush. SL and left heart stone.

Great fun solving the puzzle. And nice hike with geodog Dakota.

Today I set out from my home in Loveland and headed south to log a number of caches that I need for my 2X Fizzy, California Fizzy, and Jasmer. I went as far south as Waterton Canyon south of Conifer.

This was my first stop of the day. I had done the map work last weekend. It took a couple minor tweaks of my calculations before I got an Evince success but it did work out. I reached the parking area a little after 8:00am and I was able to get a spot in the lot. Made it to GZ in about 30 minutes. It took a little searching but I came up with the container and signed the log. My timing was good as there were lots of people coming up the trail as I was headed down.

Thanks cameltrekor for this nice map work and plotting exercise!!!

When I was it my late teens and early 20s I used to read a lot of Louis L'amour and Zane Gray. When I saw the name of the puzzle I thought I should go ahead and read this story. Today I was in Boulder and I decided to hike up and see if I could make the find. The place was extremely crowded. Not sure if this is usual for a weekend or if something special was going on. I had to park about 1/2 mile from the trail head and my GPS said that from the trail head I hiked 2.7 miles. I also was not expecting the terrain. Today there was not even a touch of a breeze so it made for a hot hike. Once there I sat down near GZ to rest and when I looked to my right I saw the cache which made for an easy find. Thanks for the hike, the puzzle and the memories of my Western books.

Woo-hoo! Beautiful Colorado day, although a bit cool and cloudy as Autumn moves in. Took NOAA Heritage Trail geocoin; left brass disk. TFTC and the fun puzzle! Geo Gray Fox.
