3rd grade project in 2006, must be graduated high school by now. Maintenance people working on slopes and a herd of horses who paid us little attention. Wanted to get these Sunlight caches 2 years ago when last here, but didn't have the time. Strenuous hike but enjoyable. Left 3 rolls of electrical tape and one 1994 Colorado Rockies baseball collectible pin. Lone Wolf 77 and I on a western slope vacation geocaching. Thank you for placing this cache so we could enjoy the game. sl

Found quickly with the help of a local dog who adopted us for the cache hunt. Beautiful day for a hike! T:Plastic ruler L:Lava pen. SL. T4TC!

I parked by the corrals and was told I could walk right through the two gates and gain the "trail", which I did. I had a very pleasant hike up to the cache vicinity, eventually leaving the horse/hiking trail and doing some bushwhacking uphill and eventually reached an open ski run cut out of the trees. Very quickly the cache was in hand and I sat for quite a while looking through everything. It was exciting to read the individual notes written by the then-third grade kids who were on Team 3. Some day, it would be interesting for them to return to the cache so they could read what they wrote years ago! The cache and its contents are in great condition. I signed the log and then made my way over to the Team 5 cache site. Thanks for this great hike, for this great cache. It's been years since it was last found, and it deserves more attention!

Are these still there? Does anyone know? The area is on private property and seemed hard to get access to it. I will give it a go though if they are still around. Can you pass along the best way to access these, do you need permission from the management to walk around? Thanks for your help!

A very pleasant hike along the Ute ski run. Hey! I learned to ski on this very run twenty-five years ago. The afternoon sun was filtering down through the aspens. Very nice. Also, if one is hiking up here in the off-season, look out for the electric fences--those aren't just ski boundary ribbons...bzzZZzzt! Shock T: rope. L: Glowsticks. TFTH!
