Enjoying a gorgeous Mother's Day weekend here in Colorado. I didn't realize this open space existed until I saw a cluster of caches in this area on the geocaching map. TFTC!

Decided to do a walk-about before the insanity started and Lincoln Mountain area seemed the right starting point. Besides, I have goals this year (some geocaching, some not) and a new walking area is good. Cache is in good shape, appreciate the hide.

Nice park. I will have to come back again to get other caches. I am on a mission today to get rays for 360 degree challenge. I kept startling a magpie while approaching cache. TFTC

This was our first trip out to Lincoln Mountain Open Space. Douglas County really does an amazing job setting aside these wonderful areas for wildlife and people!!! So impressive after coming from a state that has only the tiniest of parks set aside in floodplains.

This was our first geocache in the park, but we decided to take the other loop on our first outing. Left a "Go Green" button.
