As always, be mindful of your surroundings when walking in Prairie areas as they can be home to Rattlesnakes and Fire Ants. There were none observed when this cache was placed.

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide TaylortheGrizzly-ttg, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

We left our motel in Alamosa this morning and continued our trek eastward. It was a beautiful day for driving and caching as we cached our way to Oakley, KS. We found quite a few interesting caches along the way and had just one DNF. We hope to be home by Tuesday evening.

This one had us going for a bit. We were running out of options when Tim spotted it. The log was in good shape. We signed the log and replaced things as we found them.
