From Whitewater Co. travel South on Hwy. 141 to the Wildcat Trail Head (Forest Service Access) located just short of milemarker 133 (on the left side of the road). The trail head has several picnic tables and a small parking area. Follow the trail through the small brown gate. The cache is an ammo can that contains a log book, standard notice and the following items: Bass can cooler, party popper, frog key chain, robot knight, dog biskets, tennis ball, folding can opener and a carpenters pencil.
Good Luck.

Out looking for some caches so we can hit 500 before the grandson leaves for home in Michigan this weekend.

GPS was not cooperating today when its 105 degrees out. Tried to put me in some impossible brush so had to leave the wife up on a ridge. Once I finally got the right bead I cam from the wrong direction so it was not easy. Awesome little spot back in there, although a ton of bear activity and the tree was covered in flys escaping the heat. Cool stuff though!

out with c-n-g and stormy the dog. lots of brush to go through to get to this one… some snow on ground. didn't see any plank to walk across. the ammo can was sitting right in the open with no cover to hide it… so hid it better when we left.. T-Riviera Maya Mexico golf diver repair and an anchored pin, L-constitution booklet and an All in One 2009 geocoin. T4TC, SL.

We're baaack! LOVED the hike to this geocache on a mercifully cloudy and breezy day. I was armed with a parasol, too. This hike would be a KILLER on a hot day! RockDok & I took the trail all the way, and really enjoyed it. The placement of the cache is in a lovely shady spot! (BTW ... there's no plank to walk.) The trail goes past the cache and on up to the canyon rim for a spectacular view. I'm marking this one as one of my faves. TFTC

We attended a geological talk over the weekend which suggested that Unaweep Canyon was glaciated millions of years ago, and that Wildcat Canyon is actually a very ancient glacial cirque.

Parked at the trailhead, but saw that there was a 3/4 mile hike to the cache. (It would have been nice to know this ahead of time!) Since we had already put in several hikes today, we decided to bag it, and save it for a day in the future. We'll be back ....

I got this awhile back I remembered as I was headed down 141 to grab a few new caches that I had never logged it on line.

Tried to take the girls up with Grandpa and I but it got too hot for them. Lost the trail about half way so just used the GPS to head straight for the cache. Picked up the trail again about 1/4 from the cache. Nice location to just sit and rest. Left 10 Yen from Japan and took a little jumpy frog. TFTC.
