Located in beautiful Peregrine, this cache is just south of the US
Air Force Academy. You will need to climb cardiac hill to find the
cache, but it can be done by anyone if they pace themselves. Easy
hike until last 100' after which it becomes very steep. Final
elevation about 7,532 ft. Last 200 feet is barely visible trail.
Warning: There's an easy way and a hard way. It's easy to get
deceived into taking the hard way. If you end up going the hard
way, you'll gain about 500 feet in about 2 tenths of a mile which
could make the Terrain rating about a 4.5.
If you want to go the easy way, follow the dirt road to a smaller
trail. The smaller trail forks off at 90 degrees headed south.
Follow the smaller trail up the mountain for about 100 yards the go
straight up the hill (this is where it gets difficult for about 100
feet.
The cache is in a ammo box. Starting contents are marked on the
box, but suffice it to say, the theme is Hot Wheels cars. If taking
an item, please replace it with a Hot Wheels or Matchbox car.

Please remember, this is a Hot Wheels/Matchbox cache. We did some
maintenance on the cache on August 6 2006, discovering that many
items left were not theme related, therefore we discarded them.
Please do not leave McDonalds toys, candy, etc in the cash. Please
leave only Hot Wheels/Matchbox toys.
