For some reason I always have a hard time finding geocaches at a locations like this. I got the job done today.

I've driven past here I don't know how many times and never stopped. I always thought it would take longer to get to the cache area. Today I just took the time and stopped. It only took a few minutes to get to the parking area, and a few minutes more to walk the trail to the cache area. The tree at ground zero has indeed been cut down, but I spotted the replacement after a short search. My compass put it northwest of ground zero (not south), but either way it was a quick find. The log was nice and dry and I was the second to sign. Thanks b2hjohnson for placing this and to cvSCRAT for replacing it.

We replaced the cache in the tree to the south of GZ with a hanging zip tube. SL TFTC #13360

No smiley today. Looked for about 30 minutes to no avail. Maybe this fall when there will be even more leaves?
