A good warm up for stone mountain
If you do the recommended Stone Mountain cache the trip is just over 8 miles round trip which is not bad. My GPS said 3073 feet of cumulative elevation gain which will slow you down. This cache is .3 miles to the northwest of Stone Mountain. It makes a good warm up for the final assault, just up the hill rather than around it. There are some nice views in some of the forest clearings. Why Hill 7699, because that is the elevation the GPS read and thus named in good military tradition.
