Bear Creek Elementary is probably the most idylic elementary school in Boulder Valley School District.  It has a great view of the mountains, is on the way to NCAR, and has a well landscaped playground.

Look for a walking bridge at the far end of the open field.  Go to the SouthEast corner of the bridge and look at the abutment (I think that is what it is called).  This will take a little searching under the structure, but you don't need to go all the way down into the creek.  If you find yourself more than two feet below the sidewalk then you have gone too far.

What does a party animal like me do on a Friday night? I call up my geocaching friends @2lablovers and @intrepiidexplorer and convince them to spend the night in Boulder, Colorado looking for hidden treasures. That's what I do! We wandered up here with a list of 28 caches. Most were on the west side of the city and a few were at NCAR. Started with an FTF and managed to grab a puzzle, a virtual, an earthcache, and many traditionals. We ended the the night with the virtual. By then it was around 10pm and time to migrate back toward Aurora. Five hours of caching fueled by Starbucks and McDonalds. La vida loca.
Saw a bat nearby in the field. We watched it for a while after we found the cache. I say we found it, but actually it was all George. He found it. TFTC!

#41985 Found while out grabbing a few caches around Boulder this morning before heading to the airport to fly home. Really enjoyed visiting Colorado for the Thanksgiving holiday. Parked in a convenient spot nearby and made the short walk over to the cache. Found it easily after a short search. Signed in and headed off down the road. TFTC

That's a well hidden cache that won't be muggled soon! Thanks for the cache! A great excuse for my first driving experience on the "wrong" side of the road ;) Greetings from Australia!
