NCAR -- the National Center for Atmospheric Research -- has a great little museum of the science of weather.  It is also a great place to park your car and go for a hike toward the flatirons.  

You can pick up this cache on the path from the parking lot toward the building.  If you have found GZ, don't get confused -- its not on the traffic signs, or on the light.

New to the area, so I’m out doing some exploring and letting the caches lead the way :) I’ll have to come back when the lobby is open, and with better hiking shoes! What a gorgeous area.

What does a party animal like me do on a Friday night? I call up my geocaching friends @2lablovers and @intrepiidexplorer and convince them to spend the night in Boulder, Colorado looking for hidden treasures. That's what I do! We wandered up here with a list of 28 caches. Most were on the west side of the city and a few were at NCAR. Started with an FTF and managed to grab a puzzle, a virtual, an earthcache, and many traditionals. We ended the the night with the virtual. By then it was around 10pm and time to migrate back toward Aurora. Five hours of caching fueled by Starbucks and McDonalds. La vida loca.
We searched briefly before grabbing the nearby earthcache. Once we headed back down the trail we returned to continue our search. We found plenty of potential hiding spots, but no container. Reviewed logs and the hint. No help. I called a previous finder who pointed out a spot that we had already inspected. But there was no container there. Dropped a replacement until the CO can check on it. TFTC!

Caching with @LostinDenver and @intrepiidexplorer tonight in the Boulder area. Four of us looking could not find it. PAF and there is nothing where they found it. Left a replacement - hope that is OK with CO.

After looking for about 15 minutes we phoned up seekdacache and looked where they told us. It is not in the place that they found it, so it may be missing.

Out for a geo-ride today. There was a big group at GZ going for a hike or a tour - I waited for a minute but moved on. Next time!
