The fifth in my Gnome Home series. Some gnomes like to live far away from everyone, other gnomes like to move into nice neighborhoods. This gnome likes to have neighbors, but still likes his privacy.
Gnome home's are little pockets created in sand stone and lime stone by erosion. While often found in large rock formations, or on cliffs high above the valley floor, this gnome home is located amongst the trees. There are numerous boulders and small cliffs where this gnome could have moved in here. He chose his home because it is extremely deep, which doesn't seem possible in this rock. No squirrels, mice, snakes, or spiders lived here, so the gnome moved in.
The cache container is a true Army Surplus Decon container with an official Geocaching sticker on it. There are a few small toys, log book, and a set of new Pathtags for the first person to locate this gnome home.
While it appears that no critters lived in this Gnome Home previously, don't put your hands into holes you can't see into. And remember, this cache is located near people homes, so night caching might not be the best idea.
Happy caching!
Congratulations to Robespierre, FTF!!
