This was supposed to be a nice warm day of hiking but instead was the first day of snow, 10/8/2011. The cache is within reach of the trail and does not require any sort of bushwhacking. Please be careful to hide the cache well as this is a popular trail. Enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding area!

While I appreciate a replacement cache being placed, I am still interested in if the original cache is there or not since we have a Travel Bug in it that we would like to see moved on.

Although I’ve been to dinosaur ridge a few times, I still have yet to pick up all of the caches I want. I was grateful to have the opportunity to return and continue my “nibble“ strategy to clear the area. Today my goal was to pick up the remaining caches (that I want) on the northern portion of the ridge. Hiking hogbacks is always fun because you have the opportunity to get simultaneous good views on two sides. Despite the low difficulty ratings, all of my finds on the ridge today were hard fought.

Like other cachers, I came up empty on this one and think it is missing. However, unlike other cachers, I went ahead and made a replacement on this one. Please note the updated coordinates, very close to the original coordinates. The new container is a black, plastic bison tube. Please see the spoiler photo...this is a 1D cache so I tried to hide it consistent with that difficulty rating.

Thanks to the CO for placing this cache for everyone to find, but it is overdue for a maintenance check.

Looked for a while to see if I could retrieve our trackable which hasn’t moved in a while. DNF. is it really a Micro-sized cache?
