This cache is located in an undeveloped portion of Jefferson County's North Table Mountain open space. The elevation is a little over 6300ft. The hike does have a nice elevation gain.
The cache location is near a rock outcropping on the top of the butte. If you follow my way points to the cache, the trail is not overly strenuous. The trail is not maintained, but is in good shape until you reach the top of the butte. There are lots of deer and other wildlife in the area. I don't think a lot of people come here, either.

The cache is a large plastic jar from the dollar store.

Container has a good sized hole in it. Patched temporarily, but it may not last. TLC needed.

I took the wrong path to get here, but with some major strain I made it. The container had a big hole in it, looks like a critter got to it. Everything inside was fine. I borrowed some tape from the top to patch it up, but I don't know how long it will last. On my way out the correct way I stepped on a cactus, thorns went right through my shoe! (Ouch)

Seemed like a long trek out here. Cache is good.

What a great spot. This will be a favorite. I ate my lunch at the rock outcropping. Thanks for the nice cache! :)

With the tall, thick grass this year it is a interesting hike out to this location. Looks like the log had had so water but is nice nd dry now.

Found it at 1254.
It took me a minute or two to find this one. I didn't use the "additional waypoints", since I came from a different direction. In fact, I had been on the mountain about 15 months earlier, but skipped this cache since it was a bit out of the way.
But today, I appreciated the relatively remote location - it seems the herd of 20-odd deer like it too - and the great view from there.
I also loved seeing the picture of the cache owner's beagle.
