A hike up a well travelled trail with beautiful vistas of Lake Dillon and the surrounding mountains.

The hike is an easy climb and walk until the first 250 yards of the last 350 yards when it is a fairly steep climb.  Still walking on a trail, but at a fairly steep angle, at least it was for some of us over 60.  The view from the cache site is worth it, as long as you are looking south.  The cache is a white plastic cylinder wrapped in black duct tape about 3" in diameter and 7.5" long with a screw on lid.  The log and pencil are rolled up around the inside wall of the cache and may not be readily visable when the top is taken off due to the shoulders on the cylinder.  We hope you have as much pleasure finding it as we had siting it.

A Forest Ranger walked up with us to the dam to check on the trail. We continued up the hill to the cache. Found without any difficulty. Zipper bag was a bit damp so I aired it dry before replacing the log. All is well for the next cacher. A favorite vote for getting us here. to enjoy the incredible views in every direction

You are right! Coming up from the old Reservoir was a heart pumper. But the view is awesome & so worth it.

Decided to get an early start on the caches this morning. The hike to GZ was not that bad. Was rewarded with incredible views. TFTH
