This was quite the challenging spot to get to on our horses. Very steep, rocky and high altitude. The horses were huffing & puffing and we had to stop quite often to let them catch their breath (just like we have to do when we hike). It was pretty windy when we got on top & started searching. And search we did and search and search and search and ... well, you know. After a good 45 or more minutes I finally moved the right rock & there it was still safe & sound. The coordinates were right on and both of us probably search that area 4 or 5 times each. fortunately the wind had quit & the sun peeked out while we were looking and it became much more pleasant. Unfortunately I couldn't convince the huggle (or the horses for that matter) to make the addition 700' altitude climb to the next one, which was a good thing because it was just before dark before we got back to the trailer & we had ridden just over 14 miles for the day.

I was up here a couple of weeks ago but did not realize there were cache's to be found. Came back today to remedy that situation. Never tire of this view and the ride up was good exercise for the Jeep. Container a little hard to open from rust but the contents were dry as a bone. TFTC

Spending our 6th summer in Buena Vista, Colorado. Spent the day doing our 2 favorite things: Jeeping and geocaching with friends. We just love to find those out-of-the-way lonely caches, tfth.

This took a little looking, and some discipline to pull my gaze from the beautiful views. Thanks for the cache!
