A rather chilly day out in the mountains but the dogs didn't mind. Thought we could "lure" somebody to the cache. The cache is small and you will need to provide your own writing instrument.

Had to come find this one also since it was sitting dormant for so long. Come get this! It's close to private land so just be careful where you explore.

We took the long route on our drive up. Very pretty this time of year. On the way back, we took another forest road that wasn't on our map. Much shorter. Very beautiful area with great views.

My puppy Teewinot and I enjoyed a fun afternoon of mountain caching, including this really nice hide. It took me longer to locate it than it should have--ground zero was really close to the cache, but somehow I missed the exact location on a couple of "rounds" about the cache vicinity. Perhaps I was too entranced with the surrounding views of the ranked peaks that I've climbed in the past, which distracted me from a clear focus on locating the cache. But, eventually, I found it. VERY nice. Thanks! SL

Rocketman had to get back to Castle Rock once we got off Monument Gulch so the Girlz and I procedded to get some more fun 4 wheelin under our belts. Hit the sorta bottom half of Greer road to get to the cache.
We heard a blast of thunder while we were there and felt the cool rain of Colorado on our faces. The dogs had fun treking thru the timbers while Red Ruby and Mountain Roamer persued the cache.
Cache is ready for the Summer Season. Bring your own writing instruments to sign the log.
