This cache is located near the Nelson Loop Trail, pretty close to the only bridge you'll have to cross. It's a new incarnation of "Loop it and Swoop It," to satisfy the 6-month time limit on Boulder County Open Space geocaches.

You can get here from the Antelope Trailhead or the Hall Ranch Highway 7 trailhead on foot, by bike, or on horseback. Or if you're adventurous, you can get here from the Button Rock Preserve, which makes for a really nice hike.

Found while out mountain biking but it's pen and my pen weren't working so I scratched my name in the log. Took pic for proof.

Took me a few minutes to find this one; I kept going in my own loop, up and down, up and down, without spotting it. Finally I looked in the right crevice and got it.

I had forgotten a write-with, and although there is a ballpoint in the cache, it's totally dried out. So, I wrote really really hard on the paper and etched the date and "ELynne" into the paper. I'm sure you can read it if you rub a crayon over it, like we used to do for secret messages in grade school. I also took a picture of the log to solidify my claim (if the CO needs to see it, I can send it; otherwise, it doesn't particularly enhance the gallery, so I won't post it). Hey, I walked all the way back in here (and dragged my non-caching husband along), I wasn't about to miss out on the smiley!

It's a perfect day for walking back in here. We did a lot of bike-dodging, but everyone was polite and smiley, so all is good. Some nice wide views up here. TFTC!
