A few hundred feet from the edge of Long Lake. Between the pond and the lake.
It is a clear 1 quart Tupperware container that can hold a few items. I have place a few spinner lures in the cache to start trading with. I would highly recommend you bring your fishing pole. When I place the cache I just got done walking around the lake, fishing. Caught 6 brook trout on a spinner and castmaster. I saw 3 moose also, 1 bull chasing a cow and calf. There are lots of moose tracks around the lake along with a few bear tracks.

To get there you will need to park your vehicle at the Long Lake Trail head and walk about 1 mile to the lake. Don't forget your fishing pole.

You could also get there if you took the apx. 6 mile hike up the Fish Creek Falls Trail.

Nice hide. What a pretty area. Moose tracks here. Trail head wasn't marked but, we figured out which way to go. TFTC TNLN

Since the last log for this cache was dated Sept 21, 2010 we had doubts about finding it but decided to give it a try, after a one hour jeep ride over a twisty turney bumpy road and a 1 hour walk in rain, hail, and lightening we ended up on the wrong side of the lake and had to walk all the way around it before finding the cache. The area and lake is beautiful so it was worth the time and effort. The cache is in good shape and has a few fishing lures in it. Signed log...TFTC!!!

I spent a week camped about a mile north of this cache with my brother and father bow hunting for elk. The day I signed this log I had spent most of the day up near the divide then slowly worked my way down the north face of drainage leading to this scenic destination. I signed the log as I watched a fisherman in pursuit of trout on the far side of the island just south of the cache. Thanks for placing this cache as it is my first find in Colorado. This was another fond memory from our trip. Despite all of the bull elk sign, we did not see many this week. I saw more mule deer and moose than elk. My legs and lungs are now back home in Michigan enjoying oxygen content in the air, but missing all your state has to offer.

Out for a bike ride from Dumont Lake to the ski area and down. Been wanting to grab this one for over a year.

Beautiful spot in summer. I had only seen in winter before. Unfortunately no time for fishing today.

Katherine and Daddo hit it hard. Dropped off a 38 special and a UW-Madison souvenir. Beautiful location.
