At the top of Berthoud Pass, take the trail that starts directly across the highway from the large paved parking lot. The trail itself is relatively easy, but the elevation here is over 11,000 feet. For this reason I have increased the terrain rating. Take your time and enjoy the scenery.
Hike approximately 3/10s of a mile, you can stay on the trail until you are 80-90 feet from the cache.

The cache is an ammo can which should be pretty easy to find. It is stocked with mostly new, inexpensive items for kids and adults.

I found a number of caches above 10,000 feet elevation yesterday, my first ever, but they were all virtual caches and earthcaches; this was my first physical cache above that elevation. It was a fairly easy find once I made my way a short distance off the trail to GZ. There was a neocon within the container; I traded a TB for it. Good job and TFTC!

We reached the Berthoud Pass and of course we had to do some caching. This one was a good warm up. Cache was found in perfect condition.
