A new series of history written in stone. Caches for winter when you don't want to search in the snow.
The name alone should give you a clue. I am not providing the name or any other information. If you don't know the history behind what is here, email me and I will provide you a short history, and provide sites on the net with a more detailed history.

To prevent internet finds and old memories, email me the womans name on the next stone immediately to the left (north) of the subject of this cache.

Sorry sports fans, I had some bad coordinates posted, the new ones should be better.

Dec 4, 02: I have thought about this and have decided that to be fair to people that really don't know some of the local history or are from out of town that I should give the name of the person I am looking for, so I have included their names in the hint.

We flew into Kansas City and after renting a car we drove through Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and back to Kansas. All logs were either signed CCC (Crazy Canadian Cachers) or stamped with our red CCC stamp. Answers to Virtuals and Earthcaches have been sent in on behalf of the group.

Day 5 of an epic 6 day journey out to the western frontier. I had some vacation time that I needed to burn up by the end of the year, and what better way to use it than to go Geocaching! My main goal was to find caches in New Mexico and Nevada, which would complete my map in the western US. The rest of the 4 remaining states are on the East Coast. Secondary goals were to find oldies, mostly virtuals, and high favorited caches. The only bad part of the trip was that it rained every single day of my vacation.

I headed south out of MN on Sunday and returned home on Friday.
Sunday - Drive all the way through to Colorado (15 hours!)
Monday - Cache in and around Denver and Colorado Springs, with an attempt at Pike's Peak (closed at Mile 14)
Tuesday - Head south towards GC19 and then west through Wolf Creek Pass
Wednesday - Four Corners monument and west towards Nevada
Thursday - After a night in Richfield, UT, head east through the skiing areas of Colorado towards Nebraska
Friday - The long drive home

Thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for me to find and for keeping the oldies going all these years.

Day Seven of our Epic Adventure the quest for 5000 to Mingo and beyond with softball29. Landed in Denver from Albany NY the 26th. Traveling and caching 9 states in 7 days. A very much needed quiet rest for us, if only for a couple of minutes. Thank you for bringing us here and the smiley. We used an app to also see other known people here. Some interesting , some sad. Still a nice place to reflect.

On a Fall trip through Colorado doing some caching and seeing the sites. A beautiful scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Visiting the downtown areas of Boulder, Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to name a few. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Barr trail at the Summit of Pikes Peak. It was a wonderful trip with quite a bit of caching thrown in along the way. Another fun place to visit. Answer sent.

Found this one today with Matze k on our route from Estes Park to Denver.
This is a huge cemetery.
In Germany we didn’t have such huge ones.
Thanks for showing us this place with your virtual.
I had a picture taken but I don’t post it. Didn’t want to spoil.
