To provide an option in earning the EarthCache Virtual 5K Souvenir, this cache was set at the2.5K mark beyond GC5D5FT-Cap Exposed EarthCache (via dirt road at main entrance to lodge) site to make the running/walking/cycling a little more fun.  For those of you that missed the event (and souvenir), there is still the traditional cache at this site as a memento of the 10^th Anniversary.

I couldn't resist grabbing a few caches in this area. This spot is beautiful. After signing the log, I walked up to the camping area, which had snow already. Thanks for bringing us here!

Parked at the visitors centre and hiked around the small lake before taking the trail that goes around Island Lake. A very pleasant walk with a cooling breeze but a few hungry mosquitoes about.
