I went to the listed cords  found nothing and realized I needed to start my search at the Benchmark  HL0286.  From that point I traveled .124986  KM at a bearing of 42.5 degrees true north. Ta DA I found the cache. Maybe you can find it to.

FTF with TravelinDuo today (and everyone came back DRY!!!). ToungeOut We had to take another shot at finding this one. TravelinDuo came along this time and Mrs TD was the one to find the container.

A bit cooler up here in the early morning than down in Vallecito, so long sleeves or a jacket were a welcome addition. Mr TE hurried across the bridge to be on the other side to get a few pictures of the others crossing. He was the only one to get across before the "track checker" came along on his little "trolley" (picture included) around 0745am. I guess they run these tracks a lot more than just the few trains hauling sight-seers. BigSmile The worker stopped at the north end of the bridge to dig out a small channel to help drain the "swamp" on the west side of the tracks. (I suppose the road bed gets mushy with a swamp on one side and the river on the other.) Frown

After a short hike from the benchmark and a short search we were signing the log. The only pen available had a little trouble working, hence the scribbling on the log. We put the container back in its hiding spot and headed back to do the Whereigo in town.

Thanks for putting this out for us to enjoy. And we are giving it a favorite ... Mrs TE's favorite swimming hole!!! Approve

Made a trip to Silverton ... 1st one this summer ... and gave this one a shot. Figured we'd search until the first train went by. Spent about an hour looking ... GPSrs were bouncing around pretty good (only 14-15 feet accuracy at GZ). Soooo many hiding places for us to peruse. Mrs TE got frustrated and said she'd slowly head back to the starting point while Mr TE kept looking for awhile (he's stubborn). The train went past as Mr TE was hiking back to the start. Looking through the trees, Mr TE saw Mrs TE start across the bridge. After a couple minutes he saw the "little one-man trolley" following the train. UH-OH!!!

(This is Mrs TE's rendition of the events.) Mrs TE made it about 1/2 way across the bridge when the trolley came up behind her. The driver "beeped" his horn to let her know he was coming. It startled her and she spun her head around to see "what the devil"... Losing her balance she tumbled off the bridge landing in the river. The fast flowing water rolled her under the bridge to the other side, where she grabbed the rocks beside one of the supports in the middle of the river.

Mr TE reached the tracks just in time to see the trolley stop and the driver get out to peer over the side of the bridge. Then he started climbing down to the rocks at the support. Mr TE then saw Mrs TE ... 1/2 in the river and 1/2 out ... OMG! The driver helped Mrs TE stand up and stayed right with her 'till she was ready to begin the climb back up to the tracks. Mr TE stayed on the bridge to help pull her up as she climbed. Once everyone was back on the bridge the driver went on his way behind the train.

Just some bruises and scrapes ... and of course soaked in the nice cool water, Mrs TE was okay. Thank God ... it could have been much worse.

Jake, Mrs TE says she's not talking to you for awhile ... BigSmile BigSmile BigSmile

We are gonna keep tryin' 'till we get this one!!!

(Addendum) This is a picture of Mrs TE's arm the next day ... she wouldn't let me take one of her "backside". The bruising is starting to change color ... to green and slowly back to her normal skin tint. The soreness is almost gone too. She'll be ready to try again soon. Approve
