This had to be my first cache placed. It is near the area where we experienced some unexplained lights as we were passing through. It is at the south end of the straight stretch from where we saw the lights.

September 1st, 2014

We left late, AS ALWAYS. Devil’s Head is a nice hike. My husband and I made this trip 20 years ago and took our two boys this time. We had dinner in the dark parking lot after falling on my face and scraping up my entire left side on the way back down. We decided to take a different road home that we had not taken before. The sign said 8 miles to Jackson Creek. Well we missed Jackson Creek and after we drove for about an hour we realized we were way past 8 miles. Some game wardens flew around one curve at us and stopped their car, jumped out of the vehicle and surrounded our truck. They thought we might be some poachers they were looking for and wanted to know if we were hunting. We asked where the road went and they had no clue, which made us feel real good about their ability to help anyone. Makes a tax payer proud! About 15 minutes later we were driving in the dark and from my side of the car appears lights in the sky not a foot over the cab of the truck. It was about three feet wide and crossed over the cab across to Travis' side and disappears in to the trees. As soon as I say "What was that?" Blue and green lights appear from the trees on Travis' side, mind you we are moving at about 25mph on a narrow dirt road and are in the middle of nowhere in the woods. They dance outside his window moving up and then falling back, and repeated this three times before they disappeared. I’m freaking out and Travis wants to go back and see what it is. All I can think is an attempt at an alien abduction and then, like a lot of encounter stories, the truck starts acting funny. The transmission is jumping and the engine does nothing when he pushes the gas. I wasn’t sure we would make it out of there. Finally we see house lights in the trees and are excited to be reaching a town. Eventually we discover we are in Woodland Park. As soon as we hit I25 the truck went back to normal and we arrived home safely, granted not until 1am but happy to have not to have been taken away by aliens! We have since decided that the "Wardens" were really "Men in Black" guys who were chasing the aliens and stopped us to see if maybe we had seen anything. Little did they know, the aliens were ten miles down the road and they headed the other way. Might sound farfetched but it all really happened.

Now, October 4th, 2014, we are placing this cache in a spot near where we had our sighting. We have come back to see if we can see it again and maybe figure out what it was. Upon deciding to come back, I researched some caches in the area and read about GCYZBF “Area 66” had it's own stories. We intended to locate that cache today as well.

Leave your UFO stories in the log and be sure to log them online for this cache. We are interested to see who else has had similar experiences in this area.

Small container big enough for smaller items. Left several to trade as well as a small pencil and sharpener.

Congrats to OF-Erad on FTF!

Found it safe and sound. I opened the container and wiped the water out and removed the old, wet, moldy log sheets and put a couple of new ones in a little plastic bag and that should protect them for a bit. Tucked it back away where it was. Because I am a gullible person, I would like to believe your UFO story. Nice and quiet up on Rampart Range Road this morning. I don't know that I'd go up there in the black of night. TFTC

Drive south down Rampart to get to Woodland Park, for a change of scenery. Great drive except for the washboard road. Nice break and hike for this one. Log too wet to sign. But I like the cache container....to the moon!

Quick and easy cache while camping. Log was wet and moldy so we didn't sign it.

Area is a mess, some people have gone up and decided this is a good spot to shoot and don't clean up after themselves. Found the cache but it was really moldy, didn't sign wasn't going to take it out of the bag.

This cache was risky due to the muggles shooting with a few feet and the log was soaked didn't even try to pull it for the zip lock bag pic for proff
