CONGRATULATIONS TO icezebra11 FOR FTF!!

“Twin Lakes” is a name that is commonly given to pairs of look-alike lakes. Two lakes with this name are positioned NNE of Chambers Lake in Larimer County. The upper lake has a surface elevation of 9,490 feet, while the lower one is at 9,455 feet. This cache is hidden just north of the lower twin. Find it tucked in an indentation on an isolated rock. You are searching for a pill vial. Bring your own pen or pencil for the log signing ceremony!

A standard 4-wheel drive vehicle cannot reach the lake, but a modified rig might get close to the lake's south end. I've always needed to hike to Twin Lakes, as I suspect most cache seekers will need to. Enjoy your hike to this spot!

Very nice! The lakes were beautiful and the hike through the woods was fun! TFTC!

I was out JollyMuser, NuttyIrishman, and a coupe other friends. We went out on the suggestion of Muser while camping in the area. Being one of my first back-country cache, I was excited to get my boots dirty and whack some bushes.
While we were on our way back, we happened upon an owl (couldn't identify it, small little guy) who had just caught and was feasting on a squirrel.
Thank you for the cache

Camping in the area with the family. Got this one after going after a couple easy ones with the grandkids. Did not take the easy way! It would have been better to back track to the little trail instead of bushwacking though the forest! Lead my son, son-in-law, and son's girl friend on the adventure! Great time! TFTC!! :-)

{FTF}!!! I'm really surprised this one went so long without a find. I made the nice hike in from the parking area at Laramie River Rd, passing by Lost Lake and Laramie Lake on the way in to the lower Twin. Wow, it is a beautiful lake that by the looks of the trail, doesn't appear to get much visitation. I found it much more scenic than the upper Twin. I happened upon a cow and calf moose at the south end of the lower Twin. The cow was only about 50 yards from me and I was glad to see that the calf was further away and on the other side of her. You don't want to make momma mad. Got to ground zero and the cache was tucked nicely in its nook. Signed the log in the FTF position. Thanks for the really nice back country cache!

Well, Lightning Jim and I tried for the FTF on this and failed....you're not kidding when you say a modified vehicle. We thought our Jeep was modified enough (and it is) except for mud....mud apparently is the Jeep's Kryptonite. We took the Green Ridge Trail to get to this cache and experienced some serious mud puddles. So bad, that on numerous occasions we had to wench ourselves out of the puddles. Needless to say, we couldn't come up with the FTF. So whoever does get this FTF...congratualtions you earned it!

But, keep in mind the modified vehicle part...
