Interesting hide. It took a little time but we found it. Could not sign log, as we could not open the container. TFTC

Was feeling rather smug with myself after finding Mellen hill #3 so got to this site with great expectations of making another quick find. I'm kind of wandering around getting myGPS to zero in and I keep hearing this noise. It's kind of a rattling raspy sound and I'm thinking my backpack is rubbing on something or Whizzkid is making a weird kind of cache that rattles. I'm still pondering this when the Geo-Dog comes up, cocks her head back and forth listening and is staring off in front of me to my right. About then the light bulb goes off in my head (yea, I know, a VERY dim light bulb) OH, rattle, rattle, rattle-------&*&^%$------- rattleSNAKE. All I got to say is that it was the most easy going? rattlesnake, having finally gotten my attention, it just slithered under the rock it was near. Ground zero just happened to be where it went so Geo-dog and I headed back to the car. That's one way to get your heart rate up!!
