Returned to the park (was here last week) with the geodogs. Weather was perfect today, low 60s and partly cloudy. No rain. Unleashed the geodogs for most of the hike because they were being good, plus I had a tracking devive on Kota. Which was a good thing because after I found cache and sat down on near by stump, Kota wandered off quickly. By the time I opened the tracker app, he was 150 m away to the SE. I crossed and re-crossed the ridge to the east, calling him. Finally spotted him converging on the geocache (once I was quite a ways away). Brought out the pinch collar and leash for Kota on return trip, while Loki still had off-leash privileges. Lots of parenting books in box, which I don't need (kids are grown). So I took "Frankenstein" (classic!) and left "The Flanders Panel" (appropriate) and a non-fiction book about James Garfield. If you've ever wondered about the man the cat was named after, you should read this book. It's very interesting.

A nice morning in Berrian Mtn Park today. Only saw 5 other hikers on a Saturday in July!!! Thanks to Denver Mountain Parks for allowing theses caches and the owner for placing them! Parked at the Armadillo Road trailhead. Saw my first hiker as I approached this one, but he moved on quickly. Nice supply of reading materials. Cheers!
Trail notes:
3.9 miles, 1800 ft gain/descent
First 3 caches in about 0.5 miles, then used Bella waypoints. Red and Blue both lead to Orange which take you near Bella.
Bella's first WP notes:
About 0.5 miles from last of early caches, stay on trail it will get you there.
Go straight on blue blazes for Happy Halloween cache and then up the orange blazes to Bella.
Turn left on red blazes for uphill to orange blazes steep climb to Bella.
Bella's second WP notes:
Follow blue trail to intersection and follow a couple of blues uphill to orange to top.

I have been enjoying these Denver Mountain Parks this winter and have hidden caches in some of them including one today but not in this park. This was my third DMP hike today. I made the find here at 12:24 pm. Thanks for the cache! Cache is in good shape.

Great spot. Left a couple kids books. Had the park all to our selves. Walked on less than a quarter mile to view a beautiful meadow and I think Meyer's ranch.

Unexpected location for a library. Too bad so few people frequent it.
