Welcome to the Colorado Geo-Poker Tour (CGPT)
N 40° 00.570 W 105° 01.335

In this geocaching game, you will be searching for CGPT caches. Each cache will represent an individual card in a 52 card deck; therefore, there will be a total of 52 CGPT caches hidden. As you accumulate more of the CGPT caches, the higher the ranking of your hand will become.

For example, let us assume that you have fond the Three of Spades, the Four of Hearts, Five of Clubs and Seven of Diamonds. As soon as you find the Six of any suit you will have a seven-high straight (3s, 4h, 5c, 6?, 7d).

Once you find the cache, sign the paper log and report the find on geocaching.com, you will then have that "cache card" in your hand. To add more "cache cards" to your hand simply find more of the CGPT caches.

Each cacher will have a different hand-value, based on which of the CGPT caches that they have found. If you are the first to find a CGPT cache you will receive a "FTF bonus point". Points will be used to determine the winner between tied hands (in other words, 2 players have a spade royal flush). The winner will be the one with the most bonus points (FTFs).

The CGPT will end on Saturday, October 11th. Card caches will continue to be accepted for your hands until Friday, October 10th at 8:00 p.m. local time. An event on Saturday, October 11th will be held to wrap up this competion, please see the event for more details.

Important Rule Update: To have your cards tracked (for the competition) your log must EXACTLY start with the words, "I want to play". If your log does not contain these words, your cards will not be tracked and you will not be eligible for the competition. If you should forget to put the words at the beginning of your log and you go back and EDIT your log, your play will NOT be tracked. Instead, you should delete your mistake log and repost a found log with the correct words. Thank you for your cooperation with this, it will assist me in not tracking cachers that do not want to compete.

Additional Requirements: Because the points only count towards bonuses that you will recieve at the event (and there's no reason to track your points if you're not coming to the event), you must post a "Will Attend" log on the event cache. No points will be tracked from this point forward until a "Will Attend" log is posted.

9 Logs: Found it 9

Found it 06/23/2019 By herndonrd
Mrs. Herndonrd had a horse thing between Longmont and Boulder so I spent a couple of days getting some virtuals, earthcaches, and assorted others up in the area. FeartheFish tagged along for part of it. TFTC!

Out with lasouthpaw. We got a late start for the day, had visions of a Power Trail in our head, but were defeated by Mother Nature. I hunted around the correct GZ for quite some time and didn't spot the container. Went to the area where our phones took us with no luck, returned to the original place I was looking and lasouthpaw found it within seconds. Thank goodness because with the weather I was done! TFTC! Log needs to be replaced.

Met peace love pi at a nearby park and ride, planning to do a numbers run today. Well, the weather had other plans as it snowed, the temperature dropped, and the wind howled. For once, I was happy to be the driver while peace love pi was the runner. We got in a few and decided to call it quits for the day. But wait... we haven't gotten a puzzle. Well, drat. This was the closest one we both solved, so we headed this way. There were a couple inches of new snow on the ground and our phones took us to the wrong GZ. After searching for several minutes, we went where geosenses told us to go and made the find. The log was soaked, did our best to get a dot on it but that was about all we could do. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3200.

I have been out grabbing as many caches as possible before the end of the year. I solved this puzzle a while ago and decided to come up here to make the find. No problemo. Tftc!

TFTC Excellent puzzle. The cap fell to pieces in my hands so I replaced the container.

Hitting the burbs once again for a fun day of caching with team PBH, Pixel Magic and Barasaur and I. Found lots of great caches and got lots of exercise. Big thanks to Magic for planning the route and leading us through the asphalt jungle. Thanks for all the caches for us to find!
