Welcome to Geodog Meadow. We've taken our geodogs - Ronon, Rosco, Teyla, Zoe, and Gimli - here many times. They love exploring the meadow and the hill above, and they hope you enjoy a walk in the area. This is a great area to visit during the autumn colors. The cache should be safe for travel bugs. It's a 3.5-mile drive from US 285 over a dirt road. Most cars should be able to navigate it, but please use sound judgement - especially if the road is wet. Do not drive past the closure sign in any motorized vehicle; do feel free to walk up the closed road until you're close.
You're looking for a clear container. Please replace it carefully where found and cover with rocks so that it is protected yet obvious enough for experienced cachers. The cache started with a pen and pencil, the logbook, some trinkets, a couple FTF rewards and a tracking bug. We left a pen just in case you forgot yours. However, we cannot guarentee it will be there or work when you arrive, and you should only mark it as found after signing the log.
If you bring your own geodogs, we'd love to see a picture of them in your log
Note that there are seasonal closures from mid-fall through late spring. After that, you could hike to it (road might be best) from US 285 at the turn to Buffalo Springs campground.
