Takes more than an hour  Scenic view  Not Wheelchair accessible  No Bicycles  No Motorcycles  No Quads  No Off-road vehicles  No Snowmobiles  No Horses

Moderate distance hike with a tough uphill section, leading to a nice meadow.
While hiking in the area a few days ago, I saw a side trail and after checking the Pikes Peak Atlas, found that the trail was called the "Swisher Trail". I went back today and hiked it and found that it ends at a large, beautiful meadow.
The first part of the cache is the "MacNeil Trail" and it's pretty easy. The Swisher Trail intersects it after about 1.75 miles and then it gets pretty steep. The terrain rating is due to the uphill part.
Cache is a decon container with a log book, pen and an nice FTF prize.
Snow should not hide the container, however the path to the cache may be quite difficult when snow/ice covered. Get it now, or wait until spring!

Congrats to Hartsdale on the (very chilly) FTF!

 Hints

The GPS signal was a little iffy, but you're looking for a small evergreen near a ottoman sized rock.

cache has been nibbled on and was super hard for us to open but we got it and signed the log. we missed the aspens probably by about a week but this would be a PERFECT place to snap some pics of gorgeous blue skies with massive amounts of turning aspens. still took some lovely photos though. thank you for placing this!!!

I was out for a nice hike today; this was my first visit to this trail and Cheyenne Mountain. Since I was in the area, I decided to give this cache a try. I enjoyed the trail and was happy to make the find on the cache with no drama. The container is still in serviceable condition. Thanks to the CO for bringing me to the MacNeill Trail and placing this cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

This place was straight out of a Disney cartoon! After the tough trek uphill, suddenly there was a peaceful meadow. My friend kept saying he expected unicorns to prance out of the woods. This one is pretty visible, but few people probably come this way. I took a compass coin and left a Pegasus. TFTC!

This area has been on my to do list for far too long. It was a beautiful day for a hike. The aspens are just starting to get a bit pale. In a couple weeks it will be really pretty up here. TFTC
