So, I was working a local multi and got to the final for that one and needed, well, more preparation. So I abandoned that one and moved up the ridge from the NE to this one. Holy mackerel that was a terrible idea. Extremely hard. Wow. But I summited it with sweet victory. The cache was sitting out in the open, in the middle of everywhere. Several muggle logs. But surprisingly, the cache was in ok shape. I moved it off the peak just a few feet but I'm sure it will be found again. I suggest relocating it. TFTC.

Worth the view!

What a nice view from up here! It was nice to have the peak all to myself, which was a nice surprise since the trailhead parking was overflowing onto the road. Lots of gnats and ladybugs were just hanging out, and a few squirreles and birds.

The cache was out in the open and had some crude entries in the logbook. I redacted a few rated-x and then hid the cache closer to GZ, tucked under a boulder just notheast of the summit and put a few rocks ontop.

Picked this spot as a super place to watch the Thunderbirds perform for the USAFA graduation. Peaked out just as the Thunderbirds made their first pass - perfect timing! Log is full -- but cache is in great shape. TFTH!

This is our 1000th geo cache do we wanted it to be a great one! We had an extra helper with us on this hike. She did an excellent job of keeping us on the trail all the way to the top. The view was awesome from the top. We ate our lunch at the top, signed the log and headed back down. TFTC

It was out in the open so I signed the log again and made it so that it wasn't quite so conspicuous. TNLN

Spent the day hiking up to the peak. Found the cache with no trouble. I was pleasantly surprised to find the original log book is still being used. Great view from the top. TFTC

A quick find at the top, finally. I've been up/down the ridge to the South three times and haven't made it to the top of Blodgett until today. Stopped on top for the typical celebratory beverage. TFTC and the exercise!

Set out on one hell of a hike today! I've been wanting to get up Blodgett for so long now! Kerewin0430 was happy to join me on this killer hike! The peak was our ultimate goal today. This was a brutal hike. As we neared the top the clouds let lose and it was raining pretty good. No lightning so we pressed on. Once at the top we were welcomed by a cool breeze and being wet it made it extra cold. We did an initial scan of the area and came up empty, circled and circled. In the process the sun came out and literal millions of flying little black bugs came out. So distracting and annoying! It took us much longer than I care to admit to find this one. Coords are spot on. Just overlooked it the first time, or two, or three... Signed the log and couldn't wait to get down with all the bugs. We did get a chance to plot out the last leg of this journey. Onto the plane wreck!

Set out for a hike with RPieperCO today - had no idea it would be this steep! Wow, what a good workout!! Geez! We went to the top and back down the other side to check out the plane wreck. We both drew blood along the way, but our efforts were rewarded with wild raspberries - SO MANY wild raspberries! Thanks for placing this cache. Between the hike and battling all the bugs up top, we definitely earned the 4.5 T that I needed for my fizzy grid (thanks)!! No less than 5 minutes after we signed the log & replaced the ammo can, 2 more cachers summited and found it. Thanks for another smiley on the map!
