Significant hike  Not Available at all times  Not Recommended at night  Dangerous Animals  Parking available  Bicycles  No Night Cache  No Park and Grab  Medium hike (1km-10km)

I spend so much time on the trails of Douglas County that I sometimes have to take a rest. This spot is on the Ridgeline Trail loop, about as far from parking as you can get :-) There is a reason that all the benches in this open space park are up on this section!

Good luck and have fun! This one is pretty easy to find but difficult to get to. Watch out for rattlesnakes on the trail in the warmer months. The park is open sunrise to sunset year-round. It may not be accessible if there is snow on the ground. Please BYOP and replace the container in the same spot to keep the integrity of the geocache.

As icezebra11 reported, we had a great trip to Castle Rock and the Parker area today with his puppy Angel and my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. We met up at the ParknRide in Loveland at 6 am and drove directly to Castle Rock, starting our cache-finding hikes with the dogs at the Ridgeline Open Space, shifting from there to Miller Park for a long loop hike involving some fine caches, then heading back northward to the Parker and Centennial areas for some good targets. It was a very successful day of geocaching, despite the temperatures reaching at least the mid-90s while were were on the trails. At Miller Park the zip line activities were fascinating; I will need to return there sometime to do the zip line sequence!

We hiked for a long time in the developing heat to reach this cache. Wish we were all trail runners so we could have cut down on the time! It's a nice placement. Thanks for this cache, prerules!

Denali41 and I, along with his Lab puppies Zaba and Chimi, and my Lab puppy Angel had a great caching day in the Castle Rock and south Metro areas today, scoring on a lot of really nice caches.

Our first stop was to do some hiking in Castle Rock's Ridgeline Open Space. It was a really warm day on the trail. When arrived at GZ, it was a quick find. Signed the log and headed on to the next target. Thanks prerules!!!

Lemonheadmafia and I headed up here for a short walk while my son is at his baseball game. We barely beat the rain! Sl, thanks!

Leisure stroll with my friend

Out in the morning, Atomic Corgi and I were looking for a cache with a little bit of hiking. This one had a unique terrain so I figured we'd see what it had to offer.

The hike was a little bit slippery this time of year but we were able to do it all without the needs of spikes. We came across one other group while out there but other than that, the area was mostly quite. I'd say we made it to the spot in about 20-30 minutes or so which wasn't too bad at all.

I was still getting better after being pretty sick the last month so this was a nice way for us to warm up for the area that we planned on attempting directly after this, the Manitou Incline.

TFTC SL!

Found with animjason and Bhob on my first hike! I'm 11 weeks old now! My new hiking pack works great, and I was able to sleep most of the hike.

Thanks prerules! Logged Take a load off #7 from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!

Went for a walk on a delightful fall day with "animjason" and "BearAdair" - this was the first of five geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Wow Douglas County's elite sure does have never ending views. I guess I'll have to settle to enjoy them from public lands which my tax dollars do purchase so I guess I own a part of this land, I just have to share it. So glad caching gives me a push to get out here.

Woot! [FTF] at 8:17 pm. I brought a muggle friend and his son along to introduce them to this addictive and amazing hobby. The 11 year old navigated us through the darkness and I shared my geo-sense (ok, actually the hint) to zero in on the spot on coords for the final. Fun late night adventure! Tftc!
