I spoke with Pawnee National Park today they said it's probably closed for now because of all the rain they have had. The more vehicles that go in the worse the road gets until people are making their own roads. Wait till it dries out or just walk in their by foot. Be respectful to landowners and their property.

There is some interesting information on this site: http://nebraskabirdingtrails.com/tri-state-corner-highest-point-in-nebraska/ which apparently gives the phone number and details of the landowners. If I lived in the USA I'd be giving the number a call and seeing what the story is because I wouldn't want to see this virtual go (it's my favourite one ever).

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

As you leave the gravel public road there is a rope across the cattle gate/road ruts that go to cache along with "Private Property" sign. see pic. Whatever approvals may have been, sure looks like they are no longer valid.

CO has not been on line in 2 years. Reluctantly I feel only recourse is to archive this (hate to do it to high fav virt) since this cache now only temps geocachers to trespass.

I went out of my way about 40 miles to get this cache but when I got there the road was blocked off. It was a 3/4 of a mile walk to the cache on private property in a field full of large animals. So no I didn't get it.

Day 1 of an epic 6 day journey out to the western frontier. I had some vacation time that I needed to burn up by the end of the year, and what better way to use it than to go Geocaching! My main goal was to find caches in New Mexico and Nevada, which would complete my map in the western US. The rest of the 4 remaining states are on the East Coast. Secondary goals were to find oldies, mostly virtuals, and high favorited caches. The only bad part of the trip was that it rained every single day of my vacation.

I headed south out of MN on Sunday and returned home on Friday.
Sunday - Drive all the way through to Colorado (15 hours!)
Monday - Cache in and around Denver and Colorado Springs
Tuesday - Head south towards GC19 and then west through Wolf Creek Pass
Wednesday - Four Corners monument and west towards Nevada
Thursday - After a night in Richfield, UT, head east through the skiing areas of Colorado towards Nebraska
Friday - The long drive home

Thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for me to find and for keeping the oldies going all these years. Cool virtual! Thanks for bringing me here!

Heading to Fort Collins, then to Rocky Mountain National Park, picked out a few caches along the way, mostly virtuals, love how they take you where you would never go otherwise, such is the case here, and muggle wife was not quite sure about the last half mile, but 12 miles of of 80, no turning around now, crossed the cattle guard, dodged some cow-pies, avoided some ruts, and wire, and the rental Jeep Cherokee made it just fine. Most memorable cache on the trip so far, just for the adventure! Thanks for bringing us here.

Had been staying in the near-by grasslands. This is the second "Tri-state" for us this year.

Great sunset from here!

Thanks for bringing us here.

Was able to make our way down the cow trail literally. Cows had fun watching us that’s for sure. Thank you for knowing where this was and placing a virtual for us. Who would ever know it’s where is is?

Squirrel! The nearby cows and antelopes were bit confused by Dave, the blue Subaru trekking up the “road.”

Beautiful area. Send the answers separate. Thanks for the hide

VikingNav and I are driving from Utah to Minnesota to visit family. We are caching along the way. Our main goal is to do virtual caches along our route and also pick up some new counties along the way. We were only able to drive about a quarter of a mile down the track before the cows blocked the way, so we parked and walked the rest of the way to the cache. While we were doing so, the cows decided to investigate our car. They have it a tongue bath. I learned a couple of things about cows during this adventure. 1. Cows drool. A LOT! 2. Cow tongues do NOT make great sponges! We did find the answers needed though. VikingNav has sent them for both of us. Thanks for bringing us here!

We are on our way from Utah to Minnesota, stopping to pick up some virtual caches along the way, along with some other nearby caches. Did not get many caches today, but saw some great places. Had to stop about 1/4 mile from the cache and walk the remaining distance. There were to many cows to drive through, and the area is to rutted and muddy near the watering hole for the Elanta to make it. TFTC

Thanks for bringing me out to check out this marker. It was quite neat being in three states at the same time.

I ended up on an epic adventure with yellowdogs and jREST. I really wanted to go and find GC19. So, I picked a five day stretch to make my attempt. I roped in a couple of caching friends into the misadventure and we were off with my two geodogs. The five of us made an interesting group. We drove over 3000 miles on the trip going out and back. Since we enjoy the same types of caches it was easy to come up with a list. We target the three main kinds of caches: oldies, virtuals, and earthcaches. We threw in a few others mainly to grab a cache in the 72 counties we headed through. Really got to light up that county map. Ended up with 152 caches in the found pile.

The first night was a little rough. We got a late start and headed into some heavy rain. We already had a hotel reserved in Sioux City, IA; so we knew we had to get there. Found one cache to fill the day in for me. The first day was spent caching our way across northern Nebraska. We had a line of counties that we wanted to grab. Some pretty country once you get further west. It is always nice to see the varied topography of the states we visit. After finding 35 caches, we called it a night in Scotts Bluff.
Day 2 dawned sunny, but cool. We wanted to get past Denver, but our route was longer than anticipated. So we ended up a little short. Got to see some interesting spots though. We hit the high point in Nebraska, cached along a lonely stretch of highway in Colorado, picked up some virtuals in the Denver area, before heading into the mountains for the Cache Across America. We continued exploring the mountains before finding a place to sleep for the night west of Denver.

On the third day, we made it into Denver after some virtuals and then headed south through the mountains to GC 19. We made it. The road was open and the weather perfect. Lots of warnings about the fire danger. We picked up a few other caches and even took a detour into New Mexico so yellowdogs could light up the state. Nice. I love it when a plan comes together.

Day 4 found us in Trinidad. We had a long way to go and a short time to get there. Luckily, at this point the route was pretty straight forward. We headed north roughly to Nebraska. We did take a detour to grab GC31. I already had it, but we were too close not to add it to the list. We ended up caching longer than anticipated due to a lack of sleeping options. Finally found a place in Thedford.

Our last day was short and to the point. We had a line of counties between us and the Iowa border and we wanted to find a cache in each of them. We found one or two caches in each of them before hitting the border at noon. Right on schedule After that, it was just a matter of beating feet home.

Thanks to all the COs that placed or created a cache for us to find on this trip. Without you, we would not have found have the interesting places we ended up. I couldn't think of a better way to spend vacation. We used our Team Barcelona stamp to mark all the physical logs.

The two-track out to this one wasn't drivable for the whole length, so we ended up walking the last quarter mile. Got to say hi to some cows on the way. Interesting marker. We read through everything and recorded our answers. Thanks for bringing us out here.

Took a bit of a long weekend, well five days anyway and hopped in a car with Boreal Walker and yellowdogs (AKA - Team Barcelona) and headed west aiming for parts unknown. This cache was one of those on the adventure. Interesting spot, benchmark too. Enjoyed the stroll out here, stretched the legs a bit. Lots of cows out and about too. Thanks for setting this one up and keeping it going.

I am on a road trip with Boreal Walker and jREST from Minnesota to New Mexico and back meandering our way through as many counties as we could with many target caches in our sights. The weather was decent, although we did have a day that the temperatures reached 100 degrees and we were very thankful for the air conditioning the car provided. We enjoyed our journey and the many laughs along the way along with the great places some of these caches brought us to.
Our answers have been sent. Thanks for the cache! BigSmile

Today was our third and final day of our drive from Ohio after Geowoodstock back to Utah. We started the day at North Platte, NE and ended back at home in Clinton, UT.

Today was a long drive but we still took our time and enjoyed the drive. We had most of the counties on the way from here back to Utah, so we mostly kept to caches along the highway and several virtuals and earthcaches along the highway. We detoured out to this cool, interesting area. Not surprisingly, we were the only ones out here and after visiting the other nearby virtual we headed over to this virtual. We got the information and headed on our way back to the highway. Thanks for putting this cache out to entertain us on our drive today.
