Cache is in a great place to view the spectacular scenery in Mueller State Park with an overlook of School Pond.
Located in Mueller State Park a few feet off School Pond trail (trail # 2), approximately 1.9 mi round trip from School Pond trail head with a 250 ft Elevation Loss/Gain, some places a little steep. School Pond collects water from the surrounding hillsides. It is a shallow home to dragonflies and water skaters. Since it freezes solid every winter, you're not likely to see any fish, but the pond is an essential watering hole to the wildlife, especially elk and mule deer. Look around the muddy banks of the pond and see if you can find any wildlife tracks. The cache is up the hill from the pond. Enjoy the spectacular views along the trail.

Geocaching Responsibly
A great rule of thumb is to leave any caching location in better condition than when you arrived. Observe posted signs, stay on designated trails, do not trespass onto private property, and even pick up any litter you find along the way.
Always make sure to observe safe hiking practices when geocaching, be mindful of your hiking experience and limits. The most important thing is to get outside and safely have fun!
