I am a trail runner at heart and it surprises me that there are not more geocaches on the trails at Philip S Miller Park. So, since I love the back side views from these trails, I thought I would hide a geocache at about the farthest spot from parking that there is in the park.

You are looking for a small green (in honor of the green trail) bison tube hanging in a bush. To maintain the integrity of this cache and the bush, please do not remove the geocache from the bush. Rather, unscrew the top and remove the log. For newbies, when putting the log back, roll it up and stick it in the cap and then slide the bottom over the log.

This one may be more difficult if there is snow on the ground. BYOP.

As icezebra11 reported, we had a great trip to Castle Rock and the Parker area today with his puppy Angel and my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. We met up at the ParknRide in Loveland at 6 am and drove directly to Castle Rock, starting our cache-finding hikes with the dogs at the Ridgeline Open Space, shifting from there to Miller Park for a long loop hike involving some fine caches, then heading back northward to the Parker and Centennial areas for some good targets. It was a very successful day of geocaching, despite the temperatures reaching at least the mid-90s while were were on the trails. At Miller Park the zip line activities were fascinating; I will need to return there sometime to do the zip line sequence!

We had finished the red one. It was easy. This green one took some real searching! And it was really hot out. Thanks for this cache, prerules!

Denali41 and I, along with his Lab puppies Zaba and Chimi, and my Lab puppy Angel had a great caching day in the Castle Rock and south Metro areas today, scoring on a lot of really nice caches.

Our first stop was to do some hiking in Castle Rock's Ridgeline Open Space. After we finished there, we next went to Miller Park. It was definitely a really warm day on the trails! We parked near the bottom of the incline and did a long clockwise loop through the park. After finishing on the Red Loop, we turned onto the Green Loop. When we arrived at GZ we commenced our search but the fact that the container is green and the oakbrush is full of leaves, made this a tough one to find. Our puppies were actually glad it took a while so they were able to rest in the shade while we looked. Finally it was found so we signed the log and headed for the next cache down the Green Loop. Thanks prerules!!!

Most folks were on the east side of the park, so it was pretty quiet over here. Just one group of zip liners. This was a pleasant walk this morning. And a great view from the top. Thanks for placing this Green Trail cache, prerules.

Another beautiful day, out & about with COpackrat. Enjoyed exploring this area and finally seeing the zipline course that I've seen signs for along the highway all these years! Zeroed in on this one and were back on the trail! Thanks for placing this cache.

Took some looking, but there it was! Lost my pen in the scrub oak, so had to sign my name with dirt. Nice walk from the red loop! Thanks for the cache!

FTF!

First time for me in this park and what a layout.

I went straight to this one a looked for a few others on the way back down.

Not many people on this side, maybe because it was cloudy and 44 degrees most of the morning.

Anyway, Thanks for the cache!
