FTF at 17:20. Late afternoon is definitely not a good idea with the sun blasting you and your windshield is filthy. On this drive. Got to within .5 miles and didn’t want to risk it being on a spare and some not so awesome tires. I hiked the rest. As I was walking/climbing the road, a Jeep was headed up in the distance. My memory flashed to a story of a cache that had not been found going on several months. So on that fateful day, the victor of the FTF also discovered that he was only minutes ahead of other seekers! So I panicked a little and upped my pace as I thinking that they are going to drive right by me and make the discovery. I swore my left arm was going numb as I relentlessly kept pressing on with the occasional glance over the shoulder with expectations of a Jeep coming into view. In the end I never saw the Jeep again. They must have stopped where I parked and then went back down while I was on the other side of the saddle. I have a high occurrence of running into cachers in the wild so I felt justified in my fears ! Great spot with an excellent view. I’ll give it a fav
