After woodpecker tree, hiked over to this cache. Checked all over by GZ, and quite a ways out from there. GZ had a place that matched the hint, but nothing there. Also at the location near a campsite (loc mentioned in logs) nothing. Did have a nice conversation with a camper, who used to cache. Placed a small replacement cache at GZ, since original seems to be gone. TFTC.

Took a detour on the way home from NE for this cache.
This is a special place for the rockymtn8ivs, we have hunted, camped, and played this whole area for years.
I am uploading an image of our son Nick and our old friend Richter taken around 15 years ago (one of my favs. 
) and an image captured with rockymtn8iv and "The Boys" today.
Was a little sad to see all the new camps and deterioration in the area and ended up CITOing the area on the way out.
Them plastic bags and beer cans just won't grow up there! 
Found the cache coordinates were dead on and the hint couldn't be better, that being said I also found a "cache" approx. 130' from GZ full of trash sitting in the open next to a campsite . Didn't realize it was a cache until we got it home and emptied the contents out which included a logbook and pen in a baggy, a nice geocache explainer, and four sea shells among all the trash.
The cache hanging out with the squirrels had a logbook and a handful of cocktail skewers, didn't see any trackables anywhere.

Someone was camping at the end of the road , so I tried to be vewy vewy quiet slipping in and out. The wild flowers along the way were wonderful. TFTC.
