If you stand at the rock shelter you can see Loveland Valley, Loveland Basin, Arapahoe Basin, Keystone and Breckenridge ski areas. You can also see a bunch of 14ers - particularly Grays, Torreys, Quandary, Bross, Lincoln and Democrat.
Go a short way north of the shelter, sit on the natural bench and reach into the crack. There's a rock on top of the container to hopefully keep pesky pikas and marmots from making off with it. Feel free to add a rock or two in case those guys have been pumping iron.
Park on the top of Loveland Pass, cross the road and head out the Loveland Pass, West Ridge trail.
