This cache is in Cherry Creek State Park.  Entrance fee is required for all vehicles.  I received permission from the CCSP Park Ranger to place this cache inside Cherry Creek State Park.

World Youth Day is an event for young people organized by the Roman Catholic Church.  In 1993, World Youth Day was held at this spot in the Cherry Creek State Park.  Attendance was approx. 500,000 and the theme was "I came that they might have life, and have it to the full (Jn 10:10)".  This also was the very first WYD held in North America, United States and an English-language nation.

A park pass is required on all vehicles. No fee is required if accessing CCSP on foot or bicycle. A daily park pass is only $9. Bring a picnic and make a day out of it. Check out my Geocaching Adventures Blog

First cache I looked for in the US and my first DNF in the US! Hint didn't really help - it could have been anywhere! Guess I just haven't got the hang of the hides here yet.

Found this one with Poppy, my muggle hubby and a grandma and grandson from San Antonio, TX. We looked together for quite awhile before Poppy join our search. Of course Poppy found it after help from the youngster from TX. Well done! This Illinois girl thanks you for putting a smile on my face and phone! Cache on??

Got to give this one a favorite. Excellent hide. Went around and around 4 times before making the find. Live Wire 77 and I taking advantage of the free state park pass for August and getting in some geocaching and a picnic. Along with 2.25 miles walking. We found 9 of 9 that we could look for. Thank you for placing this cache so we could enjoy the game. sl

Had a little caching trip this afternoon with Kerewin0430 - there were quite a few folks enjoying the nice day, but they didn't seem to be congregated were we needed to search. Thanks for the cache and getting me out here on a nice day!

Oh yea..you were tricky. However, the prairie dogs kept me entertained as I searched.

Found with EasternGirls. She told me what it wasn't, then I quickly spotted it. Not typical gazebo hide, although most I've found have been equally difficult.
