This is a 2 stage multi-cache, without about 1 mile total of hiking from the trailhead to the final location. However, most of the hiking is up a substantial incline, which is the reason for the 3 terrain rating.
At the posted coordinates, you will need to gather information from a sign to find the final location.
The cache is located at N 39 46.ABC, W 105 13.DEF. Answer the following questions to obtain the final coordinates:
A = How many letters are in the first word of the name of the peak (the third word on the sign)?
B = How many times does the Jefferson County Open Space logo appear on the sign?
C = How many hikers are shown walking on the trail?
D = How many coyotes are shown?
E = Add 1 to the number of prairie dogs shown.
F = How many letters are in the first word on the sign?
The final location of the cache is near a geobeacon and is approximately 40 feet off the trail, not in the sensitive area to the north of the trail. Cache container is a small grey "lock-n-lock" container with room for small trackable items. If there is snow on the ground, it will be difficult to find the final location.
