Information Sign at Homestead

This cache is located in the Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
There is a $7.00 day pass fee for the park.
TRAILS ~ MAP

This cache is located in a wonderful state park located close to Denver. Frazer Meadow is a clearing with a partially collapsed homestead built in the late 1800's. I have included two waypoints for the homestead, and a great informational sign to learn more about John Frazer, and his home.

Please note the following before you seek this cache:
1. There are multiple ways to approach this cache. Check the trail map linked, or grab a physical map at the Visitor's Center. It will be about a 2 mile hike regardless of the approach.
2. At times the path will be steep and rocky. None of the trails are listed as 'easy'. Keep this in mind before you attempt this cache, and be realistic about your capabilities. BRING WATER and SNACKS.
3. Do NOT go through areas marked as 'Area Restoration'. Stay on the trail until you are close to the cache instead of cutting through the meadow. Please respect the environment.
4. The cache is NOT located IN the collapsed homestead. Please do not enter, or go into off-limit areas. The cache is located away from the clearing, so stay on the trail. Thank you! This cache is an ammo can. Please re-hide well after finding. Good Luck, and enjoy this beautiful place.

Did this gorgeous hike on a furlough day from my Federal job. Took the whistle and Petco keychain (will use it on a future trackable). Left a shell from San Diego, a coin from Cuba, and an unopened poncho. Also dropped a trackable for someone to find and move along. Thanks for the large cache and for leading us up to this spot!!! Attached is a pic from the hike up...

Wow - just wow. My faithful dog Dubarry and I think we hit this trail at peak leaf-peeping time. Or maybe a tiny bit past it. Tons of gold out there, and somehow we had perfect weather and very un-crowded trails today. That might have had something to do with the overcast, chilly start to the day -- which gave way to clear skies and temps in the 60s. Couldn't have been more perfect. The cache is in great shape, and I'm so glad to have chosen this hike today, and to have made my 2501st find! If not for the cache, and a recent mention of Frazier Meadow in a leaf-peeping article I saw somewhere, I might have chosen somewhere else to go today. Glad I didn't.

TFTC! Everything is in great shape. We camped at Aspen Meadows with the grandparents and hiked along the service road to get to the cache. Was a beautiful day for a hike. Seeing the backpacking sites made me want to get the old backpack out of storage for our next trip...
