When we were kids about 10ish we lived our lives in this open space.  there were no concrete trails or parking area.  This tree , now collapsed and rotting,  we kids used to call mommy legs tree. The 2 branches fell over and the trunk was attached about 10 feet up. If you look up the big cottonwood there you can still see a piece of wood or two that we used.  This open space was our life.
