We can't believe that it has been almost 2 years since this cache was visited last! This was a tough puzzle to crack. We didn't know anyone that knows shorthand anymore. Even our neighbor who is in her 80s had no idea. She said that she was not THAT old! It was too bad that there was no geo-checker to check our answer and the CO did not reply to the message we sent. Must be retired from the game. Anyway we just chanced it and went to see if our answer was correct. And yes, it was. We found the container after a short search. It was out in the open on its side and completely soaked. The log had turned into pulp. Luckily we had a piece of paper and a small ziplock. Maybe the next person could bring a new (must be small) log book? Tftc.

Whew. We found it!!!!! First I had to decipher the puzzle, not easy, but my h.s. shorthand slowly came back to me. Then we had to find the road-- 4 mile. We went on several wrong roads before we found it--- then the hike, .2, but hey, this was at the end of the afternoon, and we were not sure we had the energy. But what a lovely area. And yes, we did find it. Left a tb, which probably won't get moved for awhile, but that's ok. This is Neal's favorite kind of geocache...... little hike in a nice setting. The log is very wet, so sometime it needs replaced or dried out. Thanks.

A beautiful day of caching with sassydil. She solved and I found :) I saw it before but though it was something else, upon closer inspection, BINGO! Nice hide and puzzle! TFTM.

We wandered around a bit and animjason came up with the find. Nice secluded area back here!

Nice puzzle, and a very scenic little hike to GZ. My 6 year old son found this one while Dad was -- once again -- looking in the wrong spot ... Dang !
Very creative camo, and a well deserved favorite point. Traded trackables, SL, and were on our way. TFTC !

This was the 10th find of the day, while out with my dear friends, OF-Erad and his charming wife! This cache was such an adventure! Just as we headed down the trail, the stench was overwhelming (think: 5000 people surrounding you, all of them with terrible BO; or walking down The Strand through Venice Beach, CA - whew!). OF-Erad told us that we were smelling bear rub-stuff, so of course, I was ready to beat feet back to the car. No, no! We are safe because we are incredibly noisy in the wilderness! Mrs OE and I were talking very loudly, singing (Doo-Wah-Diddy-Diddy-Dum-Diddy-Doo), and looking about anxiously. So, we persevered. And we made it to somewhere near GZ; my gpsr had me at about 58' away when I was holding the cache in my hand. What a great time, and a great puzzle and a great hide! T-TB; L-TB; SL, with OF-Erad.
See, I was close, sort of...

Found this cache with Geo-Chik, and my wife, on another super fun "Leaf Peeping Cache Run". We were not too far behind a bear or 2 on the way in. Fresh Tracks, Scat, and you could really smell them. Got near GZ, and both our GPSrs were having accuracy problems. I was showing about 58 feet accuracy, and then moved around awhile, and when my GPSr said 36 Feet Accuracy, and 36 Feet to GZ, I knew I was close to GZ. Reached to my left and had the well hidden cache in my hands! Bravo on the Camo!!!! SL, TFTC
