A New Road. .
Each time I ride my ATV in areas I'm familiar with, I try to ride at least one road I've never done before. This is one of those new roads. It's a lovely road - not tooo difficult but still requiring an ATV or good 4x4.

I also love rock outcroppings. There's nothing quite like -carefully-standing on one and declaring that you are "king of the world." I suppose I should use Queen, but it just doesn't sound the same.

So pull over at the wide spot on this forest road, and again -carefully- hike down then up to the rocks. Say your piece.

This cache does not require you go more than a foot from the road.

The geocache we found was some sort of replacement cache? Has been signed once before. Nice view from here thank you.

Got to a place in the jeep road where we decided we could not go any farther. My wife and I and 2 grandsons decided we would hike to cache. It was .30 mile from jeep. About 2 hours later and 50 stop and rests, we arrived at gz. We 4 looked for about an hour with no luck. We found the arrow shaped rock but not the cache. We left a match stick holder as a replacement. Hope that is ok with CO.

We decided to walk down the road back to jeep. 2 miles +. At least it was down hill. We was totally worn out after the .30 mile hike across the mountain. We flagged down some jeepers and they offered us a ride back to our jeep. Man we was glad to see them. After the ride back and realizing how far it was, we was overjoyed for the lift. We ate our peanut and butter sandwiches and headed back to Denver to grandson's house for a well needed nap. What an adventure. Thanks so much for the experience. Sure earned a fav point from us, and hello from OKC.
